We publish property writing from people who transact — investors, brokers, developers, property managers. Market commentary without a deal behind it rarely makes it through.
This page covers the Real Estate brief specifically. The general rules — word count, originality, link policy — are on the main write for us page, and they apply here too.
Real Estate topics we want
- Commercial property acquisition and disposal, with the numbers
- Lease negotiation from either side of the table
- Property management — costs, tenant issues, maintenance realities
- Residential investment analysis and financing
- Development and planning, including what delayed you
- Regional market analysis backed by transaction data
What makes a Real Estate pitch work
A breakdown of one deal — purchase price, financing, refurbishment cost, exit — is worth more than a survey of a whole market.
Pitch the angle before you write. Two or three lines is enough for us to tell you whether it is something we would run, and it saves you writing 1,200 words we cannot use.
Example angles we would publish
These are made-up titles, not commissioned briefs, but they show the shape of a piece that gets through review:
- A commercial deal broken down: purchase, finance, refurb, exit
- What eight months of planning delay cost us on a small development
- The lease clause that saved us during a tenant dispute
- Yield on paper versus yield after management costs: a real portfolio
Notice what they have in common: a specific decision, a real number, and an outcome the writer actually lived through. That is the bar.
What we turn down in Real Estate
- Listing promotions and agency advertising
- “Best places to invest” posts with no data
- Generic first-time buyer advice available on any bank website
- Market predictions with no supporting transactions
Requirements
- 800 to 1,500 words, original and unpublished
- Descriptive headings and short paragraphs
- Sources linked for every statistic and claim
- Up to two relevant, non-promotional links, at our editors’ discretion
- Author bio of two or three sentences
How to submit
Email write@conciergewire.com with “Real Estate” in the subject line, along with your pitch or draft and your bio. We read everything and reply to what we intend to publish.
If you need a published page on a fixed timeline rather than an editorial submission, our press release service is the route for that — defined turnaround, permanent URL and a backlink to your site.
